4iG SDT Finalises Majority Acquisition of RÁBA Automotive Holding

According to the LinkedIn post of 4iG Space and Defence Technologies (4iG SDT) the company has completed the acquisition of a 74.34% majority stake in RÁBA Automotive Holding Plc., following the fulfilment of all closing conditions. With the transaction, former shareholders N7 Holding Plc. and the Foundation for the University of Győr (Széchenyi István University Foundation) have fully transferred their stakes to 4iG SDT’s project company.

The acquisition significantly expands 4iG SDT’s defence‑industry capabilities. By adding RÁBA’s land mobility expertise, the company now complements its existing competencies in land systems, aerospace, and space technologies. RÁBA’s renewed strategy will focus on high-value-added defence products, services, and export growth.

Recent strategic partnerships with the Czechoslovak Group (CSG), TATRA TRUCKS, and Lockheed Martin have strengthened 4iG SDT’s technological base and market access, positioning RÁBA to enter new regional and international markets while supporting the broader growth of the 4iG Group’s defence portfolio.

As they wrote, 4iG SDT aims to build a major manufacturing and development hub in Győr, drawing on RÁBA’s century‑long industrial heritage and engineering expertise. This vision is further supported by cooperation with Nurol Makina, leveraging Hungary’s exclusive rights to the Gidrán vehicle family and existing industrial ties between RÁBA and the Turkish manufacturer.
