4iG Space and Defence Technologies: Strengthening Hungary–Israel Cooperation

The LinkedIn post of Chairman at 4iG Gellér Jászai highlighted a series of high‑level meetings in Israel aimed at deepening cooperation between Hungary and Israel across several strategic sectors. Accompanied by Márton Nagy, Minister of National Economy, the delegation held talks that underscored the long‑term, innovation‑driven nature of the partnership.

Discussions with Nir Barkat, Israel’s Minister of Economy, focused on expanding economic ties, boosting export–import opportunities, and supporting collaboration between Hungarian and Israeli startups in areas such as pharmaceuticals, dual‑use technologies, and the food industry.

Further meetings explored cooperation in telecommunications and space communications with Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi, as well as tourism, healthcare, and real estate development with Tourism Minister Haim Katz.

Defence industry cooperation was also a central theme. In talks with Defence Minister Israel Katz, the parties reviewed current and future joint projects, including partnerships involving 4iG Space and Defence Technologies. The delegation also visited the Aeronautics Group following the signing of an MoU, assessing production capabilities that are planned to support European markets from a future Hungarian hub.

Jászai’s post emphasised that Israel remains a key strategic partner for Hungary, and the day’s meetings reaffirmed a shared commitment to innovation, security, and sustainable economic growth.
