Sensirion Strengthens Its Debrecen Presence with New Managing Director

Sensirion has appointed Viktor Mátó as the new head of its Debrecen operations, marking a strategic step in the company’s ongoing expansion in Hungary, Debrecen4U reported. Mátó brings more than two decades of expertise in production management and operational leadership to the role.

He holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Miskolc and has previously overseen key functions at the Hungarian divisions of several global manufacturers, among them LEGO, Voith, and Bosch. Speaking about his approach to leadership, Mátó highlighted the importance of strong teams and a supportive corporate culture, adding that Sensirion’s blend of advanced technology and employee‑focused values aligns well with his professional outlook.

His arrival comes as the company ramps up its manufacturing capabilities in Debrecen. To support this growth, Sensirion is recruiting talent across multiple technical and operational fields. The Debrecen plant serves as the Swiss group’s first production site in Europe, supplying digital microsensor solutions to customers worldwide.
